Pacific Northwest Alder
Rustic
Rustic Alder comes in a range of natural colors from light brown sapwood to
reddish brown heartwood. Rustic Alder will also be characterized with a range of
knot holes, grain variation, pin holes, cracks, bird pecks, and mineral streaks.
These characteristics give a very natural and living look to your cabinets. Knot
sizes, and the amounts of mineral streaks, sapwood and heartwood are natural
characteristics of the wood and therefore cannot be specified.

Clear
Clear Alder ranges in natural colors from light brown sapwood to the darker
reddish brown heartwood. Characteristics of Clear Alder are mineral streaks, and
small tight knots as well as better grain consistency and more consistent
textures than Rustic Alder. Clear Alder has a rich and beautiful look similar to
cherry wood at a more affordable price.
